Detroit Care Packages for Anyone Who Moved Away
A Detroit care package for the Detroiter in Phoenix, Toronto or a dorm room in Ann Arbor. Detroit Gift Store packs the foods people miss after they move, by hand in Detroit, and ships them with a handwritten card from you.
Built from what people miss
The Care Package ($59) is built around a Sunday dinner from home: canned Detroit-style coney sauce with our coney recipe card, Jiffy corn muffin mix, Sanders hot fudge, Vernors, Faygo Rock & Rye and Better Made chips. Add hot dogs and buns from any grocery store and it becomes coney night. It ships to US addresses only, because Canada doesn't allow meat products by mail.
For someone in Canada, send The 313 Box ($79) instead: the same Vernors, Faygo, Better Made and Sanders, plus Germack nuts, with no coney sauce.
For college students
Finals week is the best time for a box to land. Our guide to college care packages for Michigan students has exam dates and dorm address formats for U-M, MSU and Wayne State.
