Questions

before youSend it

I don't have their address

Pick Text or email them when you order and put your own address at checkout. Within 1 business day we text or email them from Detroit Gift Store to ask where to ship. They never see the price or your receipt. If they haven't answered in 5 days, we email you.

Can I pick up in Detroit?

Yes, free. Choose Local pickup at checkout and pick up at 2200 Hunt St, Detroit, by appointment. When your box is packed, usually within one business day, we email you to set a time.

Can I send to a few people?

Yes. Add one box per person and fill in who it's for. Checkout only takes one address, so the cart asks for every other address before you check out. Sending 5 or more? Corporate ordering takes one spreadsheet.

Do you ship to Canada?

Yes. The 313 Box, The Michigan Box, The Game Day Box and The Woodward ship to Windsor, Toronto and the rest of Canada, tracked, in about 4 to 7 business days. Order by Wed, Dec 9 for Christmas. Shipping cost shows at checkout, and the recipient may pay GST/HST and a carrier fee at the door. The Care Package, the coney sauce kit and Jiffy ship to US addresses only, because Canada doesn't allow mailed meat or lard.

Will the chocolate melt?

From May through September we pack chocolate with a cold pack, or swap in a heat-safe item when the destination is too hot.

Are prices inside the box?

Never. Your card goes on top, written by hand in Detroit.

Will the cans and jars make it?

Every can and jar is wrapped and packed upright in crinkle paper. If anything arrives dented, broken, melted or spoiled, send a photo within 7 days and we replace it. No need to send anything back.
